KB Macarons is a locally-owned shop offering macarons in different flavours, packages, and customizations. The business started in 2018 when the owner was browsing some online dessert recipes that she will do for her niece’s birthday celebration. From then, the passion grew into a thriving business when people start patronizing her baked goodies up until now.

Currently, the business continues to grow; the client needs to align her goal and vision to what the brand communicates to the audience. She needed help in conveying a brand that reflects fresh, friendly, and natural. Moreover, not having a platform where customers can browse through her offerings and place an order in a hassle-free way has hindered and struggled for a smoother business flow.

The business has already established a sound colour palette that translates well with its offerings. My solution was to utilize the colours and add secondary ones that are monochromatic to embrace simplicity and friendliness. 

The primary palette focuses on pink hues that resemble a sweet feeling. Having an icon that is about the offering supported by a letter mark in thin and rounded letterforms solidifies the brand's position.

The humble story of how the brand started inspired my design. It began as a passion, and now it turned into a thriving business with a solid customer base. A brand that is loved by many is not as challenging to communicate, considering its straightforward product offering as well. The approach to this project is to have simple, friendly, inviting, yet credible design solutions. 

Having enough white space adds appeal and credibility to the brand. Using high-resolution images increases the brand's premium look and feel, although it is relatively economical in pricing.

It is not impossible to have a premium-looking brand for start-ups. Having a genuine brand story speaks well about the organization and the people behind it. Thus, creating design solutions goes smoothly by having this solid foundation.
